Which file formats can I upload?
SignPe accepts PDF files and Microsoft Word documents in DOC and DOCX format. PDF is the standard for document signing and the format most widely accepted for formal agreements, so converting Word files to PDF before signing avoids layout changes.

Do the people I send a document to need an account?
No. Recipients never need an account, an app or a paid plan. They open the link from their email, sign in the browser on a phone, tablet or computer, and receive the completed copy automatically. Only the sender needs a SignPe plan.
Is an electronically signed document legally binding?
In most cases, yes. Electronic signatures are recognised under the US ESIGN Act and UETA, EU eIDAS, and India’s IT Act 2000, provided the parties agreed to sign electronically and the signer’s intent is clear. Some document types still require a specific signing method.
